What is “Chair Massage”
Chair massage is bodywork done while the client is seated in a chair specifically designed to allow the client to rest with the face, arms and chest supported, allowing the back and shoulders to relax. Chair massage is usually short in duration (10-20 minutes,) done fully clothed, and without the use of oils or lotions. Techniques such as kneading, compression, point pressure, and tapotemont are used. Everyone can benefit from chair massage. Regardless of age, fitness, or physical condition, people can get the healing benefits of bodywork in a limited amount of time. For those who are not able to invest the time or money in a full bodywork session, a 10-20 minute chair massage can be just the tune-up needed!

What Happens During a Session?
The practitioner will communicate with the client to find out what specific issues the client is suffering from, and to find any areas that require special attention, or that should be avoided. The client and practitioner will then agree upon a time frame for the session. The practitioner will ask about pressure during the session, and the client should always feel free to let the practitioner know if they would like less, or more, pressure.
After a session, drink lots of water and avoid alcohol intake.
Chair massage is $1.00 per minute. Please check back for locations and schedules.
